Pasadena-based FastSoft, the Caltech spinoff focused on digital media acceleration, said this week that it has launched a new partner program. The firm said that it will provide volume discounts, tehcnical support, lead generation, marketing, and other support to its VARs and system integrators. FastSoft's appliance is used by companies to radically reduce file transfer speeds across the Internet; the firm's products are based on research out of the California Institute of Technology, and are based on a technique called FastTCP. The technology was originally designed to set the Internet transfer speed record. FastSoft is venture backed by Miramar Venture Partners.
