Fisker Runs Into Supply Issues

Los Angeles-based eletric vehicle manufacturer Fisker Inc. has run into some supply issues, reporting last week that it produced 1,022 of its Fisker Ocean SUVs in Q2 of 2023 -- below the earlier estimate of between 1,400 and 1,700 EVs. The company said the volumes were constrainted by a shortage of components from its suppliers. The company said it is "investing in additional battery pack capacity" to "protect the compressed manufacturing timeline this year and support higher volumes than originally anticipated next year."
