Fonality Appoints VA Linux Founder to Board

Los Angeles-based Fonality, a developer of IP PBX software that runs on commodity hardware, has named Larry Augustin, founder of VA Linux, to its board of directors. Augustin founded VA Linux (now VA Software), and was the creator of the popular SourceForge.net open source software development tool. Augustin is also on the board of the Source Development Labs (OSDL). Fonality is shipping a product based on the open source Asterisk platform.
