Two Southern California-based firms have made it onto Fortune magazine's "Best 100 Companies to Work For" list in its most recent issue. Fortune has named Thousand Oaks-based biotech firm Amgen, and San Diego-based technology firm Qualcomm to its annual list of companies that rate the highest with their employees. Fortune cited the health care benefits, child care, work-life balance, telecommuting policies, sabbaticals, and unusual perks as the key to ranking in their annual listing.
