Los Angeles-based Chill, the social video discovery site founded by Brian Norgard and Dan Gould--demonstrating its characteristic ability to quickly jump on the latest Internet trends--has taken a clue from photo "pinning" startup Pinterest, and added its own pinning ability to its video site. The latest incarnation of Chill allows users to repost, comment, and interact with videos similarly to the way Pinterest lets users interact with photos. Chill recently shifted to focus on social discovery, after stints as a chat hangout service for live streaming video, an Internet music lounge, and a Q&A and discussion site. Chill is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Redpoint Ventures, Atlas Venture, Paul Kedrosky, and CrunchFund.
