NantOmics Buys Genos

Culver City-based NantOmics, which is developing molecular diagnostics technology, said last week that it has acquired Genos, a developer of next-generation sequencing, personal genetic discovery and research. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. NantOmics--one of the companies owned by billionaire Patrick Soon Shiong under the NantWorks umbrella--said it will integrate the technology, technical expertise, and data visualization and research tools developed by Genos into its own analysis tools.
