Funraise Gets $3M For Nonprofit Fundraising Software

Los Angeles-based Funraise, the developer of a software platform which helps nonprofits manage their fundraising efforts, has raised $3M in a seed funding round. The funding was lead by Toba Capital, the investment firm founded by Quest Software founder Vinny Smith. According to Funraise, which is led by founder and CEo Justin Wheeler, it will use the funding to accelerate its product roadmap. Funraise provides a customer relationship management software platform which helps automate outreach to nonprofit donors, and ties in information like wealth and social media profiles. The company says its customers include such nonprofits as the Red Nose Day (Comic Relief) and National Wildlife Federation. More information »
