Search engine giant Google revealed today, for the first time, the revenue split the firm provides to publishers through its AdSense advertising program. According to Google, it pays out 68% of the revenue it collects from advertisers to publishers through AdSense, and about 51% for search advertisements. Google said that the revenue split has not changed since 2003, when it launched Google AdSense. Google acquired the AdSense technology from its buy of Santa Monica-based startup Applied Semantics in April of 2003.
