Greenlots Gets Funding For EV Charging
Los Angeles-based Greenlots, a company which is developing electric vehicle charging and energy management technology, has raised a strategic round of investment, the company said this morning. The investment came from Energy Impact Partners (EIP), a utility coalition. Size of the investment round was not announced. As part of the funding, Greenlots said that Kevin Fitzgerald, Chief Utility Officer at EIP, and Philip Jones, former Commissioner on the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (WUTC), have both joined the company's board as part of the funding. Greenlots says its electric vehicle charging and energy management platform uses open standards, and plugs into smart charging, demand response and behind-the-meter efforts for utilities.
