Hookit Picks Up $16M For Sports Sponsorship Analytics

Solana Beach-based Hookit, a developer of sports sponsorship analytics software, says it has raised $16M in a funding round. The funding was led by Arrowroot Capital, and also included Bialla Ventures and Social Starts. Hookit develops software which tracks hashtags, social media posts, followers, and promotion of brands by athletes, teams and events, in text, photo, and videos, and values that based on engagement numbers for those brands.
