Los Angeles-based online video site Hulu announced today that the firm has added a new feature which allows users to search the captions of the shows on its service. According to the site, users can search from the captions on show, through a "captions" tab under any video with captioning. The new feature also shows a popular "heat map" of where people are going from those searches. Hulu is taking advantage of the fact that many of its shows--from TV networks--include closed captioning for the disabled. Shows with captioning support on the site include Glee, Modern Family, and 30 Rock.
