Los Angeles-based Hydra, an affiliate advertising network, said Monday that it has appointed Gary Gooperman as the firm's Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration. Hydra said that Cooperman joins the firm from Helio, where Cooperman was also VP of Finance and Accounting. Cooperman was responsible for Helio's sale to Virgin Mobile in June, the firm said, and has also served at Thomson Reuter’s Westlaw division, Nortel Networks, and Ernst & Young. Hydra provides cost-per-action (CPA) advertising via banner and other online marketing.
