Illumina Expands In Latin America

San Diego-based lifesciences equipment maker Illumina is expanding its footprint in Latin America, saying that it has opened up new offices in Columbia and Mexico. According to the company, it has created two new companies, Illumina Colombia S.A.S. and Illumina México Productos de Biotecnología, to expand the company's support for its local customers and partners. The company said the new entities will focus on key healthcare systems and hospitals. Illumina is a developer of gene sequencing and other related equipment.
