Illumina Hires Quality VP
San Diego-based Illumina, a developer of systems for the life sciences industry, said Monday that it has appointed Frederick Clerie as Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. Frederick will manage the firm's quality systems, around developing, manufacturing, and distributing products. Frederick joins from Siemens Diagnostics (formerly the Diagnostics Division of Bayer Healthcare). Frederick has held a number of positions at Bayer Diagnostics, as well. Illumnia's products are used for genomics and pharmaceutical research, in sequencing, genotyping, and gene expression areas.
