Innovative Micro Targets Life Sciences

Santa Barbara-based Innovative Micro Technology, a maker of micro-electromechanical (MEMS) systems, announced today that the firm has created a new division focused on life sciences. The firm said the new division will focus on developing miniaturized products for the medical, diagnostics, and research markets. IMT said it has appointed James P. Linton as President of the new division. Linton has previously served at Invitrogen, Prometrix, Genicon Sciences, and Cyntellect.
