Santa Barbara-based InTouch Health, a provider of remote presence software for the health care industry, said today it is in a development and licensing agreement with Intuitive Surgical. InTouch Health said it will integrate its remote presence technology with Intuitive's own, robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery system. InTouch Health said that its remote presence system will be used to provide high quality, real-time audio and video over the Internet to surgeons using Intuitive's surgical robots. Terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
