iSuppli Buys Automotive Research Firm
El Segundo-based iSuppli Corp, a provider of industry analysis services for the electronics industry, said this morning that it has acquired Telematics Research Group, Inc., a provider of research in the vehicle-electronics market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Telematics Research Group is based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. According to iSuppli, TRG will be integrated with the firm's existing iSupply Automotive Infotainment and Electronics Services. The acquisition is the third for iSuppli in the automotive space; the firm purchased Data Garage in 2006, and Wicht Technologies in April of last year, both analyst firms in the automotive area.
