j2 Global Buys Irish Online Backup Service

Los Angeles-based j2 Global Communications announced today that it has acquired C Infinity, an Ireland-based online data backup and hosting services targeting the business market. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. j2, which is headed by Hemi Zucker, said it did not expect the financial impact of the deal to be material. The acquisition is the third one in the online data storage space for j2 Global in the past year. The company said it is looking to expand its offerings for businesses to include not only online fax and voice services, but email hosting, email marketing, and online backup.
