Jam City Hires Two, Including Ex Second Life CEO

Los Angeles-based mobile gaming developer Jam City is announcing this morning that it has hired two executives to the firm, including the former CEO of Linden Lab, the creator of the Second Life virtual world. According to Jam City, it has named Rod Humble as General Manager of Jam City's San Francisco studio, and also hired Los Angeles technology lawyer Robert Zakari as its General Counsel and EVP of Corporate Development. Zakari was previously General Counsel and EVP of The Lucky Group, and also served at Zaba, Xdrive, and US Search. Humble is a designer in residence at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, or SFMOMA, and was CEO of Linden Lab, where he worked on a sequel to its Second Life franchise. Jam City--which recently renamed itself from SGN Games--is led by former MySpace founder Chris DeWolfe. The company appears to be in the midst of a major hiring surge, saying it has hired more than 130 employees since June.
