Jazz Semiconductor Gets Korean Win




Newport Beach-based Jazz Semiconductor reports today that the firm has scored a win with Korean fabless semiconductor firm Cesign. According to the firm, Cesign has selected its 0.25 micron, Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS process and technology for development and manufacturing of a Class-D amplifier for thec onsumer electronics market. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Class-D amplifiers are used in the audio market, particularly for mobile applications. The disclosure of the Korean win comes a few months after Jazz said it was expanding its efforts in Korea.
