Jukin Gets Big Win With Fox
Can a digital media startup compete in the big leagues, and move a YouTube brand to prime time? It looks like at least one local startup--Jukin Media--has made the leap to prime time, after selling a primetime TV show called the World's Funniest Fails to Fox. Fox announced it had picked up the World's Funniest Fails from Jukin as part of its new season earlier this week. The new series debuts of Friday, January 16th. Financial details of the win by Jukin have not been announced. Fox said the one hour series is based on Jukin's FailArmy YouTube channel, and will include a panel of comedians will analyze the videos which have exploded across the internet, with the goal of awarding one with the ultimate "Fail of the Week."
