Kim Kardashian Ordered To Pay $1.26M For Touting Crypto Security

Kim Kardashian has been ordered to pay $1.26M for touting a crypto asset security--EthereumMax--without disclosing payment she received for promoting the cryptocurrency, according to the SEC. The SEC said that Kardashian failed to disclose that she was paid $250,000 to publish the post on her Instagram account for touting EMAX tokens, the crypto assets offered by EthereumMax. The SEC order ordered her to pay $1.26 million in penalties, disgorgement, and interest.
