KYTHERA Expands Board

Calabasas-based KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals said this morning that it has added Francois Kress, the President and CEO of Prada, to its board of directors. KYTHERA, which develops products for the aesthetic medicine market, said that Kress has also previously served at Italian jeweler Bulgari US, LVMH (Moet-Hennessy Luis Vuitton), Fendi North America, and Luis Vuitton Malletier Thailand, among other firms. Kythera explained that Kress has experience with brands which have "significant crossover" into the target customers of the firm's products. Kythera is backed by Versant Ventures, ARCH Venture Partners, Prospect Venture Partners, JAFCO Life Science Infestment, and others.
