Legend Films Adds $5M

San Diego-based Legend Films, a provider of film restoration services and owner of the web site RiffTrax.com, said Thursday that it has closed on $5M in a Series E funding. The round was led by Augustus Ventures Limited, and also included Par Investment Partners. Legend Films said it would use the funding to support efforts in 3D conversion technology, its home entertainment business, and for Rifftrax.com. Rifftrax.com offers downloadable MP3 files featuring Mystery Science Theater 3000's Michael J. Nelson adding commentary to popular DVDs. More information »
