Masimo Partners With Samsung On Phone Bundle

Irvine-based Masimo, which develops remote health monitoring products, says it has partnered with Samsung Electronics America to bundle its Masimo SafetyNet Patient App with select Samsung phones. According to Masimo, the partnership is expected to help in broader and faster distribution of its software to patients, particularly older patients who are less likely to own a smartphone. Masimo's software connects with a Masimo wearable sensor which monitors blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, and other parameters, and is being used to remotely monitor COVID-19 patients, both within hospitals and in home care settings. The company said its platform manage the surge in COVID-19 patients while maintaining distance from other patients and providers.
