Carlsbad-based Medsphere Systems, a venture-backed developer of open source electronic health records software, said Friday that it has named Irv Lichtenwald as its Chief Financial Officer. Lichtenwald previously served as CFO For Advent Software. Medsphere is venture backed by Azure Capital Partners, Thomas Weisel Venture Partners and EPIC Ventures.
