Los Angeles-based Mogreet announced this morning that it is releasing a new product, aimed at the radio broadcasting industry. According to Mogreet, its new Mocast Broadcast Platform is specifically aimed at helping move radio stations into the mobile space, providing a platform for those stations to automate delivery of breaking news and multimedia, run contests and sweepstakes, provide daily deals and coupons, and more via mobile phone. Mogreet said it developed the new product with help of its broadcast partners, including Cox/CMG Digital, EntraVision, Emmis, Meredith, and South Central Media. Mogreet is venture backed by Ascend Venture Group, Black Diamond Ventures, DFJ Frontier, Spyglass Ventures and Clovehitch Partners. The firm's CEO is James Citron.
