MusicIP Names New CEO

Monrovia-based music recommendation software firm MusicIP said this morning that it has named Andrew Stess as CEO fo the firm. Stess replaces Matthew Dunn. Stess also joins the firm's board of directors. Stess most recently served at All Media Guide (AMG), where he was Vice President Consumer Electronics; he also has served at Liquid Audio and Gracenote, and is on the baord of LyricFind. MusicIP is a venture-backed provider of digital music discovery services, which it licenses to online music and digital music device firms. The firm has received funding from JLA Ventures.
