Myspace Accidentally Loses 12 Years Of Music
Remember Myspace? The onetime social networking site, founded in Los Angeles, is now owned by Meredith Corporation and is still active as an online music discovery site. However, the site has quite a bit less music now, after the site accidentally lost all of the music uploaded to the site uploaded between 2003 and 2015. The 12 years worth of music included over 50 million songs uploaded from 14 million artists. Myspace apparently had reported to users that it had issues playing music uploaded to the site about a year ago, however, only recently admitted the loss was due to a server migration issue and data corruption.
