X1 Discovery Hits The Cloud
Pasadena-based X1 Discovery, the electronic discovery offshoot of X1 and Idealab, reported Tuesday that it has launched a fully cloud-deployable version of its software. The firm said the new X1 Rapid Discovery search product can be deployed anywhere in the cloud "within minutes", including deploying through Amazon Web Services. My New Financial Advisor Links Financial Advisors, Clients
Santa Barbara-based My New Financial Advisor, a startup which helps match financial advisors with potential clients, said today that it has launched a new service to help generate client referrals for those advisors using phone calls. The startup is tapping fellow Santa Barbara firm RingRevenue for technology to track call performance and handle call-based referrals for financial advisors. Hulu Tops 2M Subscribers, Plans New Ad Structure
Los Angeles-based video streaming site Hulu reports this morning that it has now surpassed 2 million paid subscribers to its Hulu Plus service, as of Q1 this year. The company announced the milestone as it announced anew, advertising structure, where it says it will now only charge advertisers based on a 100 percent completion rate. Hulu said there will be no charge for the change, where advertisers will not be charged unless their advertisements have been streamed through completion.

HomeMint, with Justin Timberlake, Takes On Home Fashion
Santa Monica-based BeachMint, the social commerce firm headed by Josh Berman, has launched yet another celebrity e-commerce site--this time, HomeMint.com, a home fashions site launched in conjunction with Justin Timberlake and interior designer Estee Stanley. ScoreBig.com Launches iPhone App
Los Angeles-based ScoreBig.com, the online, last-minute event ticketing service which helps users score highly discounted tickets to sports, concerts, and theater events--and at the same time, helping venue operators to sell unsold tickets--has launched a new iPhone and iPod touch application. SRS Labs Acquired By DTS
Santa Ana-based SRS Labs, the developer of audio processing and enhancement technology, is being acquired by fellow audio processing firm DTS, in a deal worth approximately $148M, the firms said this morning. SRS and Calabasas-based DTS said that DTS will pay cash and stock valued at $9.50 per share for SRS Labs, a premium of 38 percent per share over SRS Labs' price as of close of trading Monday.
