Hulu Posts Every Episode Of Star Trek, For Free
Star Trek fans--book your weekend. Los Angeles-based Hulu said Friday that it is making every single Star Trek episode, from every Star Trek series available for free, until the end of the month. The move--which is sure to kick off a binge of watching by Trekkies everywhere--puts everything from the original Star Trek to Star Trek Deep Space Nine online. SendGrid At Heart Of Controversy Over Women, Technology Industry
In a position where it can only lose, SendGrid--the email SDK and services firm which has significant operations in Orange County--has become the center of a controversy which has thrown the high tech industry's acceptance of women into stark contrast. The Honest Company Launches iOS App
Santa Monica-based e-commerce site The Honest Company has launched an iOS application, which run on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The startup--headed by Brian Lee, and co-founded by Jessica Alba--said its new app, HonestBaby, lets parents monitor their child's development, growth, and activity. The Honest Company is the celebrity driven, subscription startup which offers up nontoxic, eco-friendly baby and kids products, including everything from diapers to home cleaning. Abalta Technologies Looks To Link Smartphones, Connected Cars
Torrance-based Abalta Technologies, which develops software for the automobile industry, said this week that it has launched a new product which helps sync smartphone driving apps with any connected car. The firm said its new WEBLINK product allows smartphones to become the primary, in-vehicle computing device for cars. Abalta is targeting car manufacturers with its software. The company's CEO is Michael O'Shea, who has previously served at such companies as InfoGation and NAVTEQ.

RealtyTrac Names VP
Irvine-based RealtyTrac, the provider of information on foreclosures, bank-owned properties, and other property, said Thursday that it has named Lisa Mackey as its Senior Vice President of the RealtyTrac network. The firm said that Mackey has worked in residential real estate for more than 30 years, including serving at Prudential Real Estate, Century 21 and Carrington Holding's real estate division Atlantic & Pacific Real Estate (APRE).
