DocMagic Buys eSignSystems
Torrance-based DocMagic, which develops loan document preparation and compliance software, said Thursday that it has acquired eSignSystems, a provider of electronic signature products, from Wave Systems Corp.. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, DocMagic said it is bringing on the entire management team of eSignSystems to the company. Both companies serve the mortgage industry.

Wilshire Axon Sports Finds $2M
Los Angeles-based Wilshire Axon Sports, which develops software to help sports teams connect with their fans via social media, has raised $2.0M in a funding round. The funding was led by Mosaik Partners, and also included KGC Capital and Albrekca LLC. The company said it will use the funding for sales and marketing, as well as product development. Wilshire Axon targets its software towards professional, collegiate, and minor league teams and venues. The company is led by Laurence Sotsky.

Anametrix Acquired By Ensighten
San Diego-based marketing analytics developer Anametrix has been acquired by Silicon Valley company Ensighten, according to the companies. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Ensighten said it will use the acquisition to accelerate the next generation of its open marketing platform. Anametrix was venture backed by TVC Capital, and had announced only $5.5M in funding in total.

Beats Music On AT&T: We Hardly Knew Ye
Remember that giant super bowl launch of Beats Music on AT&T for the Super Bowl, featuring Ellen Degeneres? Well, apparently, AT&T is no longer offering up Beats Music subscription to its new customers, according to Macrumors. The Mac news site says that AT&T no longer gives customers the option to sign up for Beats Music when signing up for a new phone pkan, the Beats Music website has removed its "subscribe with AT&T" option, and AT&T employees have been told to stop selling those subscription (More info...)

Spreeify Launches New Mobile Ad Product
Los Angeles-based Spreeify, the developer of display ad technology which is led by Ruben Dua, has rolled out a new product aimed at the mobile market. According to the company, it has launched its Mobile Rich Media Ad Platform, a product which helps advertisers maximize their mobile ad dollars, with tools for ad authoring, a creative library, and analytics engine. Encinitas-based cloud communications service provider FreedomVoice said Wednesday that it has named three new people to its executive team. The company--which provides its systems to small and mid-sized businesses--said it added Cedar Coleman as Director of Customer Care, Nitin Tomar as the Product Director, and Kim Kleber as Director of Marketing. Microsemi Hits Shipping Milestone
Aliso Viejo-based chipmaker Microsemi Corporation said this morning that it has hit a major shipping milestone, and has now shipped over 1 billion voice line circuits. The company said the number comes after more than three decades in the field. The company develops voice line circuits used for voice-over-IP, broadband gateways, and other applications. Microsemi says it has over 65 percent of the market share for those components.
