The company said that Ilan Daskal, who is the Executive Vice President and CFO of Cepheid, will join the company and head up its audit committee. Cast & Crew Acquired by Silver LakeBurbank-based Cast & Crew Entertainment Services, a provider of technology and payroll services to the entertainment industry, said today that it has acquired by private equity investor Silver Lake. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Cast & Crew was owned by ZM Capital, and offers up technology-enabled production accounting and related value-added services to the entertainment industry. SpaceX Sees Catastrophic Failure As Rocket Explodes On LaunchIn a huge blow to what had been an unstoppable local success story, Hawthorne-based rocketship developer SpaceX saw a catastrophic failure on Sunday morning, which resulted in the explosion and destruction of what would have been the seventh mission to resupply the International Space Station.
