Travo Takes $2.4M For Business Travel Reservations
Los Angeles-based Travo, a startup developing a service to help business travelers book business trips, has raised $2.4M in a seed funding round. The funding came from Great Oaks Venture Capital, Baroda Ventures, Valence Ventures, TYLT Lab, and angels. Travo is led by Tae Lee, who also is an advisor to First Round Capital, and was EVP of Product and operations at ZEFR.

Goldstar Events Raises $20M
Pasadena-based Goldstar Events, the event ticketing firm led by James McCarthy, has raised a little over $20M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm. No details on that funding--which look to be the company's first ever--have been announced by the company. the filing said that 18 investors participated in the funding, worth $20.329M. United Online Considers Strategic Alternatives, Rejects B. Riley Takeover
Woodland Hills-based United Online announced this morning that it has embarked an a "review of strategic alternatives", including the potential sale of the company or sales of its assets, after an unsolicited takeover offer from B. Riley Capital Management. According to United Online, it is looking to "maximize shareholder value" in the strategic review, and it also has rejected, outright, the offer from B. Riley. Mixcord Raises $1M For Social Sharing App
Los Angeles-based Mixcord, a startup developing a mobile app which lets performers record, synchornize, and share their vocal harmonies, dances and skits, has raised $1M in a seed funding round. The funding came from Mucker Capital, Social Starts, and angels. Mixcord was founded by Ihung Tu, and says its app, Acapella, has been used by such artists as Lil Wayne, Young Money, Austin Mahone and Von Grey, along with other celebrities, aspiring singers, and fans.
