Nexsan Ramps Channel Efforts

Thousand Oaks-based Nexsan, a manufacturer of storage arrays, is ramping up its channel efforts, saying Monday that it will be running a series of quarterly promotions and special product bundles. The firm said that the new programs are a result of the current economy, which the firm described as putting "additional urgency and focus on IT departments." Among the promotions, the firm is running buy two, get one free promotions on hard drives for its systems, free next day onsite support for certain deals, and more. The firm didn't detail how it is doing in the light of a spending slowdown, but many hardware providers are gearing up for a slowdown in capital infrastructure purchases as the economy slows.
