Los Angeles-based NMA Group, which provides product placement into movies and television shows for electronics and other firms, is being acquired by Corbis, the digital media licensing firm owned by Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Financial terms of the deal have not yet been announced. According to the New York Times, NMA will become part of the entertainment division of Corbis. NMA helps place products into movies and TV shows, and lists such clients as Motorola, Xbox 360, Baskin Robbins, and others as clients.
