Novatel Lands Cingular

San Diego-based Novatel Wireless has been selected by Cingular to provide its wireless PC modem cards for a 3G mobile downlink application. Novatel said that Cingular will use its 3G High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) cards in a launch across the United States. The network provides 400 to 700 kilobits per second broadband access to wireless customers.
