Out of Home Advertising Firms Merge




Santa Monica-based Fuelcast, which operates an advertising network at gas stations, said Thursday that it has merged with Bhootan, which provides out-of-home media at retail stores, to create a new company called Outcast. According to the firms, the combined company will reach over 6,000 digital LCD screens at Shell, ConocoPhillips, and Holiday Station gas stations, retail screens at Walgreens, Sears, Kmart, Albertsons, Stop N' Shop, plus fast food outlets Carl's Jr. and McDonald's. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed. The new, merged company will be headquartered in Santa Monica.
