Los Angeles-based Peer Media Technologies, the anti-piracy firm which was formerly ArtistDirect, and content tracking and protectiom firm Bay TSP.com said Monday that they have signed an agreement to merge. Peer Media Technologies is headed by Dimitri Villard, and provides anti-piracy services targeted at peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. Financial details of the merger were not disclosed. Both firms provides monitoring of pirated music and other entertainment on P2P networks. Peer Media Technologies renamed itself from ArtistDirect last year.
