Los Angeles-based Poptent, which operates a crowdsourcing web site for commercials and videos for brands and advertisers, said today that it has expanded into Brazil. The firm said it opened up a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to accommodate international demand for its services. Poptent operates a site which rewards cash to Internet users who upload their own videos for brand promotions and advertisement efforts. Poptent says that so far, is has awarded more than $2M in cash payments to users as part of its service. Poptent's CEO is Andy Jedynak.
