Pasadena-based Practical Instruments, a company developing rooftop solar concentrators, said today that it has been awarded $4M in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Energy. Practical Instruments said the award came as part of the DOE's Technology Pathway Partnerships (TPP) program. The funding will go toward accelerating development of Practical Instrument's Heliotube solar panels.
