Pryme Links Into Voice App Maker Zello

Brea-based two-way radio accessories maker Pryme has likned up into the app age, saying that it has inked a partnership with mobile app maker Zello, to offer up wireless Bluetooth audio products for Zello's two way "walkie-talkie" app. Zello's app turns any smartphone into a walkie talkie, letting users communicate using push-to-talk (PTT) like you would with a traditional two way radio, and allowing for group conversations. Zello, however, send data over a traditional Wi-Fi or cell network instead of two way radio. Details on the partnership were not disclosed, however, Pryme said Zello is now offering up five different accessories from the company on its website. Pryme's traditional customers include public safety, commercial, and other radio customers.
