QLogic Now Part Of Cavium

Aliso Viejo-based storage networking products developer QLogic is now officially part of Cavium, Cavium said on Tuesday, after the $1.36 billion acquisition of QLogic completed. The two companies had announced the deal in June. QLogic was a maker of high speed networking and storage networking devices; Cavium makes networking semiconductors. The sale of QLogic comes two years after the sudden death of founder and Chairman HK Desai, revenue stumbles, and big executive shuffling at the company.
