San Diego-based Qualcomm announced today that it has opened up a development lab in India. The company's new Mumbai lab will provide access to hands-on technical support and development resources for the Qualcomm BREW environment. The company said the lab was established to support the creation of compelling, locally developed wireless data applications. Qualcomm maintains nine developer labs throughout the world to promote development on its BREW wireless environment, which provides cell phones with 3D games, sound, and shopping and distribution options.
