Qualcomm Names Korean Head

San Diego-based Qualcomm reports this morning that it has appointed a new head in Korea. According to the firm, it has appointed Dr. Young Koo Cha as Senior Vice President of Qualcomm, and President of Qualcomm Korea. Cha replaces Dr. Sung Woo Kim, who the firm said is retiring. Dr. Cha is a visiting professor at the Graduate Institute for Peace (GIP) at the Kyung Hee University, and has previously served as Deputy Minister for Policy of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, in addition to serving in the Korean military.
