San Diego-based Qualcomm (www.qualcomm.com) yesterday introduced three new chipsets that integrate a 6.0 megapixel digital camera, 3D graphics accceleration, GPS support, and on-board TV interface, and support for all major 3G wireless protocols. The new chipsets are targeted at portable business, high-fidelity entertainment, and interactive gaming applications, and getting consumers to extend usage time of wireless devices. The chipsets also support a wide variety of peripheral connections, including 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB connections. Separately, the company also announced that Yahoo Mobile will adopt the company's BREW development platform to develop Qualcomm-enabled versions of Yahoo's services such as Yahoo Messenger.
