Qualcomm Technologies Links With Oracle On Java for M2M

San Diego-based Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, said that it has linked with Oracle to bring the popular Java programming language to its machine-to-machine (M2M) chipsets. The two said they are working to bring Oracle Java ME Embedded 3.2 to ATI's QSC6270-Turbo chipset. Those chips are used for M2M applications with embedded cellular capability. The two said the support will allow developers with little mobile experience to write and execute Java applications directly on the Qualcomm chips, which are used for 3G connectivity in embedded devices.
