Razer Acquires Nextbit Systems

Irvine-based gaming products maker Razer said Monday that it has acquired the assets of Nextbit Systems a developer of Android phones. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to Razer, it has acquired the majority of the assets of Nextbit, and brought onboard both the management team and employees of the company. Razer said it will continue to support Nextbit's Robin smartphone. Razer is backed by Intel Capital, IDG-Accel and Heliconia Capital Management (Heliconia), a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore investment company Temasek.
