REAL D Inks Deal With Cinemark




Los Angeles-based REAL D, a provider of 3-D technology for movie theaters, announced this morning that it has landed a deal to equipment up to 150 Cinemark Theatres with its systems. The deal will allow Cinemark to display 3-D movies at its movie theaters. The two companies said that they will initially deploy 17 screens, in time from Columbia Pictures' MONSTER HOUSE to be displayed in 3-D later this month. Separately, REAL D said today that Columbia Pictures will release its upcoming Monster House movie in REAL D format. The movie will be the second released in REAL D's 3-D format. The first film released was Disney's Chicken Little.
