Report: Coda Automotive Buried in Lawsuits

In what looks like more bad news for Southern California's electric car dreams, Santa Monica-based Coda Automotive is apparently up to its neck in lawsuits from its vendors, from payment issues at the company. According to a report from GigaOm, Coda is fending off lawsuits from one of its car engineering and development partners, a company which handles events, a billing and accounts receivables company, and an employee. It looks like it will be a struggle for CODA to avoid the fate of Fisker Automotive, the Anaheim hybrid carmaker which itself is apparently on the brink of a bankruptcy filing.
